The problem

Invoices, receipts and bank transactions pile up fast, and reconstructing six or twelve months of records right before a filing deadline is stressful, error-prone, and usually more expensive than keeping things current as you go.

What’s included

  • Regular reconciliation of your bank transactions
  • Invoice and expense recording, kept up to date
  • Cloud accounting software setup and ongoing support
  • Management figures available whenever you need a clear view of the business
  • Records kept ready for your year-end accounts or VAT return – no last-minute scramble

Who it’s for

Any business – sole trader or limited company – that wants its records kept current rather than reconstructed once a year under deadline pressure.

How it works

We agree how often you need bookkeeping done (weekly, monthly, or quarterly, depending on your transaction volume) and set you up on cloud software if you’re not already using it, so you and we both have a live view of the numbers.

FAQs

Do I need to use specific software?

We’ll recommend cloud accounting software that suits your business if you’re not already using something – it makes ongoing bookkeeping far easier than spreadsheets or paper records, and plugs directly into VAT and year-end work.

I’m behind on my bookkeeping – can you catch it up?

Yes, this is a very common starting point. We’ll work through the backlog and get you to a current, reconciled position, then keep it there going forward.

What’s the difference between bookkeeping and accounting?

Bookkeeping is the day-to-day recording of transactions; accounting (annual accounts, tax returns) uses those records to meet your statutory obligations. Good bookkeeping makes the accounting work faster and cheaper.
